An Urban Climate Walk Presents a Unique View of the City of London
This walk-about takes us on a tour through the eastern cluster of the City of London, which is being transformed through the addition of very tall buildings, many of which are unusually shaped. On this walk, we focus on the changing built form of the city and use our senses (visual, auditory and thermal) to interpret the landscape. The theme that links the various stops along the way is energy, both its natural expressions (temperature, wind, sunshine) and those of building needs (cooling heating loads) and how these two are interdependently linked at the scale of the city street
Please see our publication ‘walking among giants’ for more background on the walk and their interdependent energy effects https://www.eventbrite.com/e/walking-among-giants-an-urban-climate-walking-tour-city-of-london-tickets-38070380533
